General information:

This summer SPARK with the University and its Student Parliament will organize the 4th edition of the Mitrovica Summer University (MSU 2009). We are using this opportunity to present MSU 2009 and to invite you to participate to Summer University.

The MSU 2009 will be held in Mitrovica from 18-31st July 2009. MSU 2009 offers 6 intensive, two-week academic courses taught by international professors together with local professors. Each course will have help of Assistant who will give practical lessons in afternoon hours and Logistic Officer in charge for schedule. 

All courses will be taught in English, though for some courses translation into Serbian will be provided. Approximately 150 students can participate: 90 local students, 35 students from South East Europe and 25 from EU/other.

There are no tuition fees. Books, readers, accommodation and food will be provided free of charge for local and students from South East Europe. Travel costs will be reimbursed.

International students (EU/other) do not pay tuition fees, accommodation and food can be provided at a modest price. International students should cover their own travel costs.

Summer University last 10 working days with 8 working hours per day (including homeworks). The lectures are interactive and include discussions, team work, study visit, practical lessons, written work / presentations. A recreational program will be organized for all participants, including public debates, excursions, sports tournaments, pool parties and great parties with live music. Successful participants will receive an official European (ECTS) certificate from Summer University.

During the Mitrovica Summer University 2009 the six courses will be held:

·         Economy/Entrepreneurship

·         Peace Building/Conflict Studies/Diplomacy

·         Comparative study of Balkan Countries and EU Integration

·         Cultural Heritage

·         Web Design
